Build your first 3D game with AI
A playable 3D game in your browser tonight. No game engine, no coding background.

What you need
The Claude desktop app with Claude Code, a web browser, and about an hour for your first game. Claude installs the rest: Node.js and Three.js, a free, open-source 3D library for the web.
Steps
Step 1. Make a folder
Create a folder called My 3D Game. In the Claude app, open the Code tab and choose that folder.
Step 2. Describe your game in one paste
Build a small 3D game that runs in my web browser, using Three.js and Vite.
Idea: [one sentence, e.g. "a paper boat that dodges rocks down a river"].
Controls: [e.g. "arrow keys to steer, space to jump"].
Look: [e.g. "soft pastel colors, low-poly, warm sunset light"].
Keep it to one level, with a start screen, a score and a "Play again" button.
Install anything missing, tell me what you'll install first,
then start the dev server and give me the link to open.Step 3. Play it, then fix it in plain words
Open the link and play. Then tell Claude what you want, one change at a time: "The camera is too close." "Make the rocks come faster after 30 seconds." "Add a splash sound when I jump."
Step 4. Make it look better
Polish the visuals: better lighting and shadows, a sky, subtle particles,
and smooth camera motion. Keep it running at 60 fps on a normal laptop.
Show me a before/after list of what you changed.Step 5. Share it
Build the game for production and tell me the simplest free way to put it online,
step by step. Ask me before creating any account.Good to know
- Start with a tiny idea. One level that feels good beats a big world that doesn't work.
- Prototype fast and cheap, polish at the end. That's the lesson from every AI-vs-AI test in our reels: the expensive run isn't always the better one.
- Use only music, sounds and models you have the rights to.
You need the Claude desktop app with Claude Code (any paid plan, Pro is enough). For setup we recommend Opus 5.5.
