Co-op Arkham Knight and Spider-Man in Gotham

Two fan mods for Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. Claude can do the heavy lifting.

Mod 1: Arkham Knight Co-Op

What it is: a free fan mod on Nexus Mods by SpideySansGoku, downloaded over 5,000 times. Up to four players on one PC, each on their own controller (player 1 can use keyboard and mouse). Everyone shares one screen; there's no split screen.

What you need: Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, a controller for each extra player, a free Nexus Mods account.

Setup

2. In the Claude app, open the Code tab in a new folder and paste

I downloaded the "Arkham Knight Co-Op" mod (nexusmods.com/batmanarkhamknight/mods/2505). The zip is in my Downloads folder.
Find my Batman: Arkham Knight install folder.
Back up BmGame\CookedPCConsole first, then copy the mod's bmgame and engine files there exactly as the mod page says.
Then give me the in-game console commands to add a second player and start a co-op session, step by step.

3. Follow the commands Claude gives you in game

The mod page has notes on doors, camera and the Batmobile.

Mod 2: ArkWeb, Spider-Man in Batman's Gotham

What it is: an experimental open-source mod (github.com/luki-1/ArkWeb). Spider-Man Remastered runs in the background while you see Arkham Knight, so Spider-Man web-swings through Batman's Gotham and fights with Arkham Knight's combat. The modder built it together with Claude, and Game Rant covered it.

What you need

  • Windows 10 x64 and a PC strong enough to run both games at once
  • Steam copies of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered (version 4.0630 exactly) and Batman: Arkham Knight
  • An Xbox-style controller.
  • Claude installs the build tools (Visual Studio 2019 Build Tools, Windows 10 SDK, Python 3.12 and packages).

Setup

1. Make an empty folder called ArkWeb in Downloads

In the Claude app, open the Code tab and choose that folder.

2. Paste

Download https://github.com/luki-1/ArkWeb into this folder and follow its AGENTS.md to set it up on my PC.
Ask me before you install anything. Back up my Arkham Knight save before installing the mod.

3. Claude does the rest

Claude checks your games, installs the build tools, builds the mod, asks you to close both games, installs it and walks you through the first session.

Good to know: it's experimental. Some buildings can feel hollow and Spider-Man can look dark at times. To remove it, ask Claude to run uninstall.bat.

You need the Claude desktop app with Claude Code (any paid plan, Pro is enough). For setup we recommend Opus 5.5.
